How the site works, where the scores come from and what happens when you follow a link.
Can I play the games on this website?
No. Save Point Review is an editorial site. We write about games and link to their official websites, where you can download or launch them. We do not host, sell or operate any game.
Where do your scores come from?
From our own play. Each game receives five marks out of ten, combined using fixed public weights. They are opinions, not measurements or player averages. The full method is on the How we score page.
Do publishers pay to be listed or rated?
No. There are no paid placements, sponsored scores or paid reviews. If a particular link ever becomes a partner link, it will be labelled clearly beside the link and will have no effect on the score.
Are the games free?
Most are free to start, and the rest are one-off purchases. Each review has a “Price model” line explaining what is sold. Prices and offers are set by the publishers, so check the official site for current details.
Why only twelve games?
Because we would rather know twelve games well than two hundred badly. A game is added only when we have played enough to describe its first hour, its long-term play and its shop with confidence.
Which of these games work for younger players?
It varies. Age ratings are set by bodies such as PEGI and are shown on each game’s official store page. Our first-evening checklist explains how to set up child accounts and parental controls.
Whose images are shown on the site?
Game artwork and screenshots are official images owned by each game’s publisher, shown for the purpose of review. Rights holders who would like an image changed or removed can contact us and we will act promptly.
A detail in a review is out of date. What should I do?
Please tell us through the contact page. Online games change often. We recheck reviews regularly and correct errors as soon as we can confirm them.
Do you collect my personal data?
Only what you choose to send us through the contact form. The game finder runs entirely in your browser and stores nothing. See the privacy and cookie pages for full details.
Can I suggest a game?
Yes, please do. Use the contact page and tell us what you like about it. We cannot promise coverage, but every suggestion is read.
