Editorial policy

Independent by design

The rules we work to: how games are chosen, how links are handled, how images are used and how we correct mistakes.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made by our reviewers alone. Publishers, developers and agencies cannot buy coverage, a score, a ranking position or the removal of criticism. We do not accept payment, gifts or in-game currency in exchange for reviews.

How games are chosen

We cover online games that are lawfully available in the United Kingdom through official channels and that we have played for long enough to assess against all five of our criteria. We do not cover unlicensed servers, unofficial clients or anything that breaks a game’s terms of service.

Links to official sites

Each review links to the game’s official website so that you can check current details and download from the source. These links are editorial. They open in a new tab and are marked nofollow.

At the time of writing, no link on this site earns us a commission. If that changes for any link, the link will be labelled “partner link” at the point where it appears, this page will be updated, and the score will be unaffected.

Images and trade marks

Game names, logos, artwork and screenshots belong to their respective owners. We use official promotional images to identify and illustrate the games we review. Rights holders may request a change or removal at hello@savepointreview.com, and we will respond promptly.

Accuracy, corrections and updates

  • Facts such as platforms, price model and publisher are checked against official sources before publication.
  • Every review displays the month it was last checked.
  • Significant corrections are made as soon as they are confirmed. If a correction changes a score, the review will say so.
  • To report an error, write to hello@savepointreview.com or use the contact form.

Advertising

We may promote our own pages through advertising platforms. Advertising never alters what a review says, and adverts for this site describe it as what it is: an independent review and guide website.

Use of automated tools

We use software for spell-checking, image optimisation and site building. Opinions, scores and recommendations are made by people who have played the games.
